सुहास गोपीनाथ का जन्म 4 नवंबर 1986 को कर्नाटक राज्य के बैंगलोर में एक मध्यमवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ था । उनके पिताजी एम.आर. गोपीनाथ भारतीय सेना में एक रक्षा वैज्ञानिक के पद पर कार्यरत थे और माताजी कला गोपीनाथ एक घरेलू महिला थी। उनकी शुरुआत की शिक्षा बैंगलोर स्थित एयर फ़ोर्स स्कूल से हुई | उनको बचपन से जीव-जंतु और Veterinary Science में बहुत लगाव था | उस समय भारत में कंप्यूटर का चलन शुरू ही हुआ था और उनके दूसरे साथी से सम्बन्धित आपस में बाते किया करते थे जिसके कारण उनकी चाह भी इसके बारे में और जानने की करती थी |

सुहास गोपीनाथ अब धीरे-धीरे अपने स्कूल के मित्रो के द्वारा कंप्यूटर सीखने और दिनभर उससे सम्बन्धित आपस में बाते करने के कारण खुद भी कंप्यूटर सीखने का मन बना चुके थे लेकिन समस्या ये थी कि उनके घर पर कंप्यूटर नही था ऐसे में उन्होंने जल्दी ही इस समस्या का तोड़ निकालते हुए घर के पास मौजूद एक इन्टरनेट कैफ़े का सहारा लिया और रोज कंप्यूटर सीखने के लिए यहाँ आने का निर्णय लिया।
